This mentoring opportunity in serving youth organizations is effectively reaching boys and girls to restore families, instill character and provide mentoring relationships. The Alaska Native millennial generation between the age of 18-34 continues to experience a suicide rate of over 14 times that of the lower forty-eight states. Sons and daughters from the greater Atlanta area have journeyed with their father on summer mission trips to serve Solid Rock Bible Camp, Kokrine Hills Bible Camp, Alaska Bible Institute, Alaska Christian College, Kenai Peninsula Community Food Bank, etc. in constructing cabins, dormitories, food pantries, pavilions, etc. The direct benefit to youth in Atlanta has been impactful in creating family cohesion, youth leadership, and a Christian missionary world view.
